Terms and conditions
Last updated 8 October 2026
This document is being finalised. If anything here is unclear, please contact us.
These terms apply to every order placed with Trestle demo, of the address shown on our contact page (“Trestle demo”, “we” or “us”), whether online, from a quote or by arrangement with our team. Please read them before ordering. If you order on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and these terms bind that organisation.
1. Your order
- Your order is accepted when we send a confirmation email. We may decline an order, for example if we cannot deliver to the address or on the date chosen, in which case we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
- Orders must be placed at least 1 day before the delivery or collection time.
- It is your responsibility to check that your order, including the date, time, address and quantities, is correct when you receive your confirmation.
2. Prices and quotes
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
- Delivery is included in the price. Distance is measured in a straight line between postcodes, and the charge for your address is shown before you order. Free delivery applies when the food in your order reaches the amount shown.
- A written quote is valid for 14 days unless it says otherwise. Quoted prices are honoured for orders confirmed within that period, even if our menu prices change.
3. Changes and cancellations
- You may change or cancel an order from your order page, or by contacting us, up to 48 hours before the delivery or collection time. Changes are subject to availability and may change the price.
- Orders cancelled at least 48 hours before the delivery or collection time are refunded in full, or the invoice is cancelled.
- Within 48 hours of the delivery or collection time your food is being bought and prepared, so the order can no longer be changed or cancelled and remains payable in full.
- Because our food is perishable and made for a specific date, the 14 day cancellation period that applies to some consumer purchases does not apply.
4. Payment
- Card payments are taken when you place your order.
- Cash payments are due on delivery or collection.
- Where we agree to invoice you, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. We may charge interest and recovery costs on late payments from business customers under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and may ask for payment in advance of future orders.
- Vouchers and account credit must be used before they expire and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Delivery and collection
- We will deliver within the time slot you choose. Times can occasionally be affected by traffic or events outside our control, and if we are running late we will let you know as soon as we can.
- Please make sure somebody is available to receive the order and that our driver can reach the delivery point, following any site instructions you have given. If we cannot deliver because nobody is available, the order remains payable.
- Once delivered or collected, food should be kept in suitable conditions and eaten on the day, following any storage guidance we give. We are not responsible for food left out for long periods after delivery.
6. Allergens and dietary requirements
Allergen and dietary information is shown on each item and provided on request. Our food may be prepared in kitchens that handle all fourteen major allergens, so we cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces. It is your responsibility to tell us about allergies and to share allergen information with your guests. If anybody has a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.
7. If something is wrong
If anything is missing or not as it should be, please tell us on the day, with a photograph if you can, so we can put it right. Where we are at fault we will replace the item where possible or give a refund or credit for the affected part of the order.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are not affected. Otherwise, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable to business customers for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or business.
9. General
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you order applies to that order.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Questions about these terms are welcome through our contact page. How we use personal information is explained in our privacy notice.
